Day 2 - everything going as planned!

Second day! Had a view of the bike all night. First floor room at the Courtyard made it easy to keep and eye on it. Covering it helped to keep the overnight rain and the dampness off in the morning.

After a quick breakfast at Denny's we hit the road for Saint John, NB, about 170 miles, 3 hours 56 minutes. That is, if all goes well! We were fine until we crossed the border.

Once on the other side, (all they wanted to see was a passport and asked if we had firearms, gifts, etc.) that's when we realized we weren't in the US anymore. I learned visitor centers were hard to find( never did). With all the construction, the road was tough to follow. At one point my GPS was a grey screen( basically saying "where are you?". Ended up finding a detour sign. 8 miles later, the road was closed due to bridge repair. I would say we were on 'secondary' roads, but it was more like third and fourth level roads!

Somehow, found our way back to route 1 and back on the road again.

No rain is a good thing on this trip! Saint John is a very nice city. Got in around 2:00.

Great little city for walking and exploring!

Came across this beauty!

Her husband didn't appreciate my advances on his wife!

Ruth has her own fun with this as well!

Looking back on the day, it was a great day! Very hilly terrain from Bangor to Canada. Got to practice proper torque, downshifting, engine breaking, etc.

Ended up here! Nice B&B in Saint John.

Looking forward to the ferry ride tomorrow from Saint John to Digby Nova Scotia! 3 hour boat ride, then a 2 hour ride to our next overnight, across Acadia Shore, through Yarmouth.
